Jenna Dudley Named 2010 Women's Gymnastics MVP

Air Force sophomore Jenna Dudley was named the MVP of the women's gymnastics team, head coach Doug Day announced at the team's end-of-the-season banquet, held this evening (April 26) at the Academy's Falcon Room. Day and his staff honored each gymnast, while handing out the team's annual awards.

Erin Brown Named MWC Scholar-Athlete

Air Force freshman gymnast Erin Brown was named to the Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete team, the league announced this afternoon (June 30). Brown, a native of Brighton, Mich., posted a 3.56 GPA in biochemistry. She is the fourth member of the women's gymnastics team to earn the MWC Scholar-Athlete Award.

Derek Kvedar Visits Europe with Academy Summer Program

Cadets are presented with numerous unique opportunities throughout their four years at the Academy and for Air Force senior gymnast Derek Kvedar, the summer of 2010 was no exception. Kvedar spent several weeks in Nice, France, as a part of the Cadet Summer Language Program (CSLIP). Kvedar shared a portion of his class project with GoAirForceFalcons.com.

Former Oklahoma gymnast Jessica Kinder will join the Southeast Missouri State women's gymnastics coaching staff in 2010, announced by the team's new head coach Kristi Ewasko on Wednesday. Kinder will be the balance beam coach and assistant floor coach. Kinder will also serve as the practice coordinator, recruiting coordinator and choreographer for the Redhawks. Tom Farden Hired As Assistant Women's Gymnastics Coach At Utah

Tom Farden, a regional coach of the year as the head coach at Southeast Missouri State and an assistant last season at Arkansas, has been named an assistant coach for the University of Utah women's gymnastics team. The announcement was made today by Utah co-head coach Greg Marsden.

Flames Flashback: Women's Gymnastics Sent Three Competitors To The NCAA Columbia Regional

CHICAGO - The UIC women's gymnastics team finished the year with strong individual efforts by sending a trio of competitors to the NCAA Columbia Regional. Rachel Montoya, Andrea Skala and Chantel Turk were the three Flames who competed for UIC in Columbia, giving the Flames the most competitors for individuals at the site.
